There is an unfortunate myth surrounding radon that can turn out to be dangerous. Some people believe that if they have a long history in a home and find out years down the road that there is a high radon level it’s too late to do anything about it. Don’t buy that! Long term exposure to radon is what we worry about so taking action right when you learn about high levels is critical.
You will never know if the radon levels in your home have been elevated from the time you lived there or if radon has increased through the years. You might not have as long of an exposure as you think. Regardless, taking action is always the best option. It’s never too late to deal with radon.
